Abstract
Background:There have been controversies in prognostic impact of mucinous histology on colorectal cancer, and its implication in patients treated with adjuvant 5-fluorouracil, leucovorin, and oxaliplatin (FOLFOX) is unclear.Methods:Stage II and III colorectal cancer patients who underwent curative resection followed by adjuvant FOLFOX were included. Patients were grouped according to the mucinous content: >50%, mucinous adenocarcinoma (MAC); <50 2013="" 27="" 3.76-16.8="" 41="" 453="" 521="" 57="" 7.96="" 7="" 86="" 87="" 95="" a="" adenocarcinoma="" adjusted="" adjuvant="" advance="" adverse="" aim="" an="" analysis="" and="" angiolymphatic="" any="" as="" bjc.2013.232="" but="" cancer="" clinicopathological="" colorectal="" compared.results:among="" compared="" component="" confidence="" dfs="" disease-free="" distinct="" doi:10.1038="" factor="" features="" folfox.british="" frequency="" had="" has="" have="" hazard="" higher="" ii="" iii="" impact="" in="" independent="" instability="" intermediated="" interval="" invasion.="" journal="" location="" lower="" mac="" may="" microsatellite="" mucinous="" multivariate="" negative="" nma.="" nma="" non-mac="" of="" on="" onclusion:adenocarcinoma="" online="" or="" p="" patients="" prognostic="" proximal="" publication="" ratio="" respectively="" revealed="" significantly="" stage="" survival="" the="" total="" treated="" vs="" was="" were="" with="" without="" worse="" www.bjcancer.com.="" year="">50>
